About Justin.

I’m Justin Hardie — an Interfaith Minister and educator. My ministry has grown out of my own experience of religious harm and the process of finding my way back to a spirituality I could trust.

My path here has not been straightforward. As a survivor of conversion therapy and harmful religious practices, I know what it is like to have your identity questioned, your voice silenced and your faith used against you.

Those experiences did not end my relationship with the sacred, but they changed it completely.

For a long time, I had to untangle faith from fear and work out what spirituality might look like without shame, control or the demand to become someone else. Slowly, I began to rebuild a spiritual life where there was room for my questions, my queerness and the whole of who I am.

I created revjustin.com around a belief that has become central to my ministry: no one should have to choose between who they are and what they believe.

My background in education shapes how I work with people too. I listen carefully and try not to make assumptions. I do not rush to fill silences or offer easy answers. I pay attention to what someone is saying, as well as what they may not yet feel able to say.

I am not here to tell anyone what to believe. I offer a place to talk honestly about faith, identity, doubt, religious harm and whatever the sacred might mean to them now. That can involve questions and reflection, but sometimes it is simply about being heard without judgement or correction.

I try to approach people gently, but I also believe in speaking plainly. Faith communities can cause profound harm, and healing does not require us to minimise that harm or pretend it did not happen.

My commitment is to meet people as they are and to treat their story with care. No one should have to become smaller, quieter or less themselves in order to be loved or to have a spiritual life.
